Play Faster Updates

Now that we’ve gone through another round of design, it’s time to build.

We’re releasing 4 “Play Faster” updates around that central theme: make it faster and easier to play more games with your friends.

Update #1: Navigation

The first update, released on November 1st, was a minor change with a major consequence: the app is much easier to get around in.

We removed the main drawer (that some players never found) moving both those Settings and the entire Library screen up to the top of the app.

Update #2: Faster Planning

The second update, scheduled for release on the 4th of November, removes yet another unnecessary separation: the list of Game Nights is now at the top of the app, too.

The same Choose and Plan buttons are still available, but we've prioritized responding to invitations—and any Game Night occurring within a week have been given an extra dose of TLC.

Unfortunately this meant removing the floating box art from the home screen, which we're sure will disappoint long-time Valet users. We hope to bring it back in the future!

Update #3: Make More Free

The third update is scheduled for later in November, and will replace the current trio of plans we made available earlier this year with a single Host plan.

Furthermore, inviting friends to a Game Night is now free, and we've removed our limits on the number of Game Nights anyone can plan. Instead, we've made including other attendees' Libraries the paid feature, which is a better fit for everyone!

Just like before, only those creating the Game Night need to be on the Host plan—everyone else gets the benefits for free.

Along with these plan changes, Update #3 makes it easier for everyone to create and manage their Game Nights.

Update #4: Play Dress Up

The fourth and final Play Faster Update is a major visual update across the application.

As a two person team, we can't always spend time where we want—and we've neglected the look and feel of the app for long enough!
